BOOMTOWN FAIR

Where: BoomTown Fair, Winchester, Hampshire

When: 11-14th August

Headliners: Fat Freddy’s Drop, Parov Stelar, Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley

BoomTown feels more like a fantasy world, mixing dreamlike installations with some of the best musicians around the world. It is the home to diverse and non-commercialised musical movements, all within moments of each other. Variant, theatrical worlds are home to the interesting acts and every genre of music, folk, House, Reggae, Drum & Bass and Jungle to name a few.

WILDERNESS FESTIVAL

Where: Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire

When: 4-7 August

Headliners: Robert Plant, The Flaming Lips, Crystal Fighters

This boutique festival is a perfectly British gathering and great for families. Alongside the brilliant music acts are numerous activities and events including hot tubs, cricket, science lectures, boat rides and banquet feasts. So if you’d like to just relax in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside this is the perfect festival.

SECRET GARDEN PARTY

Where: Mill Hill Field, Cambridgeshire

When: 21-24th July

Headliners: Primal Scream, Lissie, Maribou State

Secret Garden Party has been growing in size each year becoming increasingly popular for its eclectic atmosphere and playtime vibes. With countless areas each creative and fascinating, a huge variety of musicians, and the big burn on the Sunday, Secret Garden Party is the giant toy box of British festivals.

GREEN MAN FESTIVAL

Where: Brecon Beacons, UK

When: 20-23rd August

Headliners: James Blake, Belle & Sebastian, Wild Beasts

With the beautiful Brecon Beacons Black mountains as the back drop to this creative haven, the Green Man Festival is a great weekend for the full family. Theatre, comedy, great folk music and an Alice in Wonderland themed park with magical games and activities for children are the perfect pass time.

SHAMBALA FESTIVAL 

Where: Secret Country Estate, Northamptonshire

When: 25th – 28th August

This friendly and diverse festival is great for a mixture of DJs and artists across all spectrums but details of the party are kept under wraps until you buy tickets. However tickets for Shambala are always popular due to the chilled vibes the festival is famous for. With organic markets, lectures, kids activates, workshops and fancy dress parties, this festival is truly multi-layered sensory experience perfect for play, revitalising and relaxing.

CAMP BESTIVAL

Where: Lulworth Castle, Dorset

When: 28th-31st july

Headliners: Fatboy Slim, Katy B, Jess Glynne

One of the best family festivals in the UK, Camp Bestival is a mixture between music festival and camping holiday. Much like its sister festival Bestival, the event is full of colourful vibrant installations and exciting activities, including art, theatre, music shows, inflatable churches and a fancy dress parade.

LATITUDE

Where: Henham Park, Southwold, Suffolk

When: 14-17th July

Headliners: TBA

With Alt-J and SBTRKT as past headliners it clear that Latitude can pull in the famous names but this festival is great for up coming acts set for a big future. Not only is there a full list of music there are hidden DJ sets in the wood, colourful sheep in the fields, a onsite cinema, opera on the lake and a huge kids area.
